Sewing Acronyms

Here are a few I know of:
SABLE: Stash Accumulation Beyond Life Expectancy
PHD: Project Half Done (my fave)
FART: Fabric Aquisition Road Trip
CPR: Compulsory Purchase Rule (perform CPR when on a FART)
WOMBAT: Waste Of Money, Batting and Time (no! it's all Research!!)

January 3rd 2013. Nine months has passed since I last posted on my quilting blog - how can that be? Oh, I remember that would be the period during which I didn't raise my head up from my work desk and fell into bed far too tired to sew a stitch. Well 2013 is going to have to be a bit more balanced between the job and the joy.

Current project - Georgetown quilt
Inspired by a fellow quilter's "to do list" here is mine (no particular order):
Four patch quilt - just needs binding

1. Add binding to four patch quilt and decide on recipient.
2. Add binding to baby pinwheels charm square quilt and find new baby to give it to.
3. Finish Michelle Yeo Bear's Paw quilt top.
4. Finish Georgetown quilt (current project at time of writing - desperate to finish it!)
5. Do something gorgeous with Kaffe Fassett fabric collection.
6. Finish hand quilting first ever sampler quilt (started in 2001) and give to husband.

7. Whip up Ivy Clementine quilt in lovely brights.
8. Continue "waste not want not" scrap quilt.
9. Have a crack at Don't Look Now patterns.
10. Design Owl & Pussycat applique quilt.
11. Come up with a pattern to make in lovely brown and blue fabrics.
12. Complete Melly & Me bag.
13. Complete hand quilting 100 stars quilt (started 2002).
14. Finish Pick & Brown sunflower quilt top.
15. Start Lime and Ginger Liberty quilt
16. Pashmina fabrics quilt - am thinking sampler.....?
17. Finish a panel of Liberty hexagons and decide what to do next.
18. Quilt for Max (eldest son, turns 12 in March. Last quilt was I Spy when he was 2).
19. Quilt for Edward
Flying geese
20. Do some more of Margaret McDonald's "Touch" quilt.
21. Do some more of Margaret McDonald's "Whirling Twirling" quilt.
22. Do some more of the Margaret McDonald "Lovers' knot" blocks (scrappy?)
23. Do some more of the Serendipity "Rising Sun" quilt.
24. Add borders to colourwash Flying Geese quilt and finish it off.

I think that will keep me nice and busy.
