I loved making this quilt; researching the star patterns, keeping the palette to just 4 fabrics, choosing the placement.
Some of my completed blocks are featured on the Quilterscache.com website! Oh joy!
Po's quilt |
Nan's quilt |
I made this quilt while living in Bristol for my Nan who lived on the Mornington Peninsula. It's a great block. Check my patterns page for the instructions on how to make it.
Cornflower pinwheels |
This quilt taught me a lot. The multi-toned fabric was my favourite and I used it as the pinwheel blades thinking it would highlight the fabric but the darker blue dominated and the swirly favourite fabric became lost in the quilt pattern. I stippled it in metallic silver thread and have never liked it enough to give it away. :-(
Amish inspired quilt |
Here is Max sitting on my first ever "completed" quilt. It's funny how the memory of making it is ingrained in my memory. I distinctly remember watching Oprah and Seinfeld while creating this quilt.
